Wow!! It has been a LONG time. Sorry to ya'all looking for deals but it has really been a roller coaster ride for the Safer family. Okay.... So first a brief little update before a DOLLAR GENERAL CLEARANCE announcement that makes all of us money saving-a-holics drool.... Okay in honor of K.I.S.S. (if you want don't be shy you can SKIP STRAIGHT DOWN TO THE DEAL Just Scroll in Down) Here's the short on what's been going on with The Safer Family:
As many that follow me anywhere online are aware of my 8 year old son Dylan is Autistic, he is doing good... The normal ups downs twists and spins of Spectrum family living which in itself can be exhausting. Well some may remember I was really thinking his sister Maddie was infact also on the Spectrum. We are still trying to get her doctor to refer her to the neurologist like we had finally pestered our way into Dylan seeing and being diagnosed. Okay now I promised short.... So pretty much this is a time consuming bumpy road. Add on she is 4 and our youngest is 2 and Dylan's 8 but obviously not the average 8 yr. Old. So we got terrible two's... Potty training nightmares..... Sibling rivalry xxx1000.... Our house is a routine of chaos... Hahaha... Also my oldest daughter turned 18 graduated highscool (yes proud mamma) and been trying to help her with rides to different schools etc. My adult son is living now with the love of his life in MO and working hard, well like the rest of us... Life....
In the business end we are still running out ebay store full time but in April we bought out a local babies & kids consignment shop. This really made EVERYTHING blogs, my ebay motivation station Facebook group, my stores Facebook fan page, even my ebay store etc. Fall behind and threw me into crazy hours working tagging and sorting until 3am before going home. The local store is, well it is really not what I am best at. So we are in the midst of deciding what the final outcome will be. We will still have a local store but not consignment most likely. Of course as always we still will ALWAYS do consignments in our eBay store though.
So keep an eye on our eBay THENANDAGAINTREASURES because it's about to EXPLODE with more inventory than ever & everything imagineable. We are getting into pallets on larger scale for our new items and still second hand refurbished renewed collectibles vintage clothing and maybe even the kitchen sink soon too haha.... Ok (I think).
Now that's as short & sweet as I could possibly make it. For those that read through THANK YOU my faithful followers/friends, and for everyone that skipped ahead to the DOLLAR GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT...... Don't worry I completely understand..... Dollar General: TAKE an extra 50% OFF select Clearance Items Friday-Sunday, 8/26-8/28 ONLY.
RIGHT NOW FRIDAY 8/26/2016 through SUNDAY 8/28/2016
Take an extra 50% off select clearance items at Dollar General. Now typically this includes anything that has the clearance stickers on it but it also includes many other items in the store do too many do not get the clearance ticket and they actually are on clearance. It will also apply usually to any of the merchandise that's 25% off say Green Dot or 50% off summer or 75% off yellow Dot clothing.... now these are just EXAMPLES I'm not saying these specifically are on sale, however whatever dots or seasonal stuff is on sale typically will be included in this type of additional 50% off sale.
Don't listen to the employees: the cashiers many times say NO only clearance stickered items. Problem I have found is many of them tell you what they ASSUME the rules are and well we all know how that goes. Try to ring something through for instance if in your store it says back to school on sale 25% off and 50% off Red Dot merchandise try to ring up a school item and try to ring up a red dot item and test to see if you get the additional 50% off 99% of the time you will. There are also some great groups on Facebook that during these sales the members will post all kinds of items that they discovered are part of the sale. Join some groups... Take screen shots of items you are hunting for. Make sure it is exactly the same item (normally the members will share photos and upc #s. Match them up.
One last thing....... When Sunday rolls around YES these stores will look like a hurricane hit them, but don't assume there are no deals left without going and seeing for yourself. Look behind things, look under things, in things etc. Great savings could have gotten shoved just about anywhere.
NOTE: Search FaceBook for keywords such as "dollar general clearance" or "dollar general penny" or try "Penny shopping" or "dollar general savings" you get the picture. If your wondering why PENNY? If you don't know about PENNY SHOPPING you are missing out so you will want to look through this blog and read up on that too especially since you might run into some penny deals while clearance shopping.
BEST OF LUCK FINDING THE BEST DEALS (don't forget to see Facebook groups... Ladies in those groups find amazing things. One time there was laundry soap, Ziploc, Charmin to. Etc. ) DON'T MISS OUT!!!!!

Deals At Dollar General Nov 4th 2015 PENNY items & Toy Sale
Just a quickie here but if your lucky enough to spot any of those summer items like Summer must have shoes, or yellow dot sandals & clogs (some exceptions) childrens lawn chairs, garden items, and I have heard a rumor green dot home items too but haven't been able to confirm the green dot. The others confirmed PENNY today. Remember don't ask about if it is a penny, if you suspect it is a penny put all of that item in cart go to register and it is company policy they must sell you what is in your cart, however they do not have to let you go back and get rest if you only have one of the items in cart.... so be brave... I snagged some foam trays for penny each today they are the 30 count with the celery and something else on front but you will notice the celery in photo, remember this is 30 count foam trays. These were a summer only so they are now a penny each if they were left on the shelves. I also got a pair of spider man flip flops, spider man clogs, also batman ones, Dora, and Frozen sandals and flip flops and clogs.... I had gotten some in the last week for 50 cents, then 25 cents but more today now that they are ONLY ONE CENT EACH!

I haven't checked, but might be worth looking into if the toy sale will be going on this coming Saturday and save your $5.00 off coupons on receipts when you shop at DG this week. If you don't do any shopping there are always plenty laying out in the parking lot Ha Ha....

Quick Tip To Save Those Yard Sale Find Dolls With Ink On Them
Toys are a very expensive item that cannot be avoided for parents. Here is a different kind of deal, SAVE your money by utilizing some yard sale hunting savvy combined with a little stain cleaning knowledge. Ink on dolls typically spells disaster. Whether its your daughters favorite doll, a great old doll at a thrift you want to restore or a box of 25 cent popular dolls at yard sale, or possibly in a free box because somebody had a little make-up artist in the making who took pens to dolls instead of paper.
There are all kinds of tips out there to remove stains, and lots of great restoring doll sites. This is a simple fix however for ink on dolls made of plastics & rubber type ones. It can save you a ton of money though, and if restoring dolls to resell can earn you a bunch of $$$ too.
GRAB SOME ACNE CREAM! Yep give that doll a facial. No not really, but seriously acne aka pimple aka zit creams do the trick. Make sure the main ingredient is Benzyl Peroxide, apply to the stains and many times simply letting it sit for a while (at least an hour in most cases but usually 3-4 hours at least) then buff the spot, wipe clean and this will work in most cases. For stubborn stains you may have to repeat process multiple times. For buffing a terry cloth style wash rag, or I like soft bristle toothbrush for this as well as many other cleaning projects.
There you go, simple way to either SAVE money or EARN money $$$. There are many other tips and tricks for stain removal, hair cleaning, etc. Feel free to add your ideas that work for you in comments. Would love to hear if this helps anyone too!

Savings & Deals With Quick Tips Tricks, Re-purposing,Coupon Savvy & More
I have not been doing much deal shopping & I want to be able to be as helpful as possible with our new blog here before tumbleweeds start rolling on through. So I was thinking about how sometimes being able to SAVE money by knowing which generic products work just as well as the real thing OR by knowing when there is a great coupon roaming online to print or simply knowing how to fix something up so it doesn't need to be replaced, or for that matter re-purposing something old into something you need saves money too.... and to me that all works out to BIG SAVINGS which = GREAT DEALS.....

PURPLE DOTS at Dollar General HUGE Savings Right Now 50 cents to $5
I have been a bad girl on keeping up with my blogging but I do have some good news. Right now (6/25/15) Dollar General purple dot items can save you some big bucks.Sales at DG change on Tuesdays so there is plenty of time to go hunt down some bargains. This is going to be a quickie post because I am on a tight schedule trying to get listings done in our eBay store and promised myself to get some penny auctions up today and only one done so far. I did want to get back to keeping my promise here too though of at least one DEAL OF DAY. Even better to make up for my slacking this purple dot deal will continue up until next Monday closing at least. What are you looking for?
While sometimes DG sales are not exactly the same in every store, they usually are. Also many times the every day customer is not aware of a great sale like this when it starts or while going on simply because of lack of signs in their store. No signs does not = no sale, usually it just = manager too busy and forgot, or they themselves are not even aware the prices have dropped.
Onto the deals..... look for purple dots (there are other "secret" items that price drop at same time but I am not sure what they are for purple I will add if I find out) I know purple dots currently are running on a scale sale, for instance if original price was 1.00 to 3.00 now on sale for .50 cents $3.00 to $6.00 now on sale for 1.00 the next price range turns into now on sale for $3.00 then next $5.00. Unfortunately I do not recall the list off the top of my head right now however I will edit this post before bed tonight so the price scale of sale items is exact.
One of the best deals in my opinion right now would be bedding. There a purple dot comforter set right now you can get for $5 (originally I believe was $30 or $35) also there are sheet sets, pillow cases, shower curtains, pillows that you can get anywhere from $3.00 to $5.00 Just look for that purple dot. There are also many table cloths on sale I believe they are running on sale $1.00.

Sunday 5/31 Yellow Dot Summer Clothes Dollar General SALE
I just heard from a friend that there is a 50% off sale at one of my favorite places to score some awesome deals.DOLLAR GENERAL is having a great sale on summer clothing right now with YELLOW DOTS. You can get many of the items/outfits with yellow dots on tags for well under $5 bucks. Pay special attention to the infants and children's clothing at DOLLAR GENERAL today (not sure if this is the start of a sale or tale end as I have been sick all week. I am hoping that this just started but just in case it is tail end of the sale make sure you head out now, all DG stores I know of are open until 10pm so there is at least 7 more hours to take advantage of this sale (if it will be going on longer I will update tomorrow).
